About the Author

W.C. Fipke was born in Ottawa, Ontario and raised in Western Canada. He earned B.A. and M.F.A. (Creative Writing and Theatre) degrees from the University of British Columbia and obtained a Certificate in Arts Administration from Harvard University. In his career he served as Director of Financial Programs in the Performing Arts for Alberta Culture for 3 years, followed by 11 years as G.M. for the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, and then 5 years as President of Dia Met Minerals Ltd. For 12 years he was President and Operator of Buck Lake Ranch Ltd. (until 2016)

As a man of many hats he has been a logger, carpenter, musician, writer, actor, director, producer, aerial photographer, pilot, administrator and financier, corporate executive, miner, rancher, snow boarder, scuba diver, builder and contractor. W.C. Fipke is married with 4 children, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He resides in Kelowna, B.C.
